AccuCheck Guide Me: Understanding Bluetooth Broadcasting and Data Sync
Overview
The AccuCheck Guide Me glucometer syncs data with the Validic SDK through Bluetooth broadcasting.

Device Pairing Specifications
Can only pair with one mobile device at a time
New pairing overwrites any existing pairing
Requires devices to be within 3 feet (1 meter) of each other during pairing
Uses a 6-digit PIN found on the back of the meter for pairing
Pairing prompt times out after 30 seconds
Device Broadcasting States
The device's Bluetooth status is indicated by an icon on the screen:
Active Broadcasting
Icon is flashing
Lasts approximately 15 seconds after the device power-on
Connected but Not Broadcasting
Icon is solid/non-flashing
The device maintains a Bluetooth connection
Disconnected
No Bluetooth icon is visible
No connection
When Data Syncs Occur
The device will sync readings with the Validic SDK:
During the broadcasting window after power-on
When manually triggered by turning the device off and back on
Any stored, unsynced readings will transfer during the next broadcast window
Automatically after each new test when Bluetooth is enabled and connected
Managing Bluetooth Connectivity
To Enable Bluetooth:
With the meter off, press either arrow button to wake
Press and hold until the Bluetooth symbol appears
To Disable Bluetooth:
With the meter off, press either arrow button to wake
Press and hold until the Bluetooth symbol disappears
Additional Features
The meter includes time/date auto-sync when paired with a mobile device
Results are stored from newest to oldest regardless of timezone changes
Disabling Bluetooth does not unpair the device
