Configure Cellular Device Connectivity Options

  • No cellular devices - these programs will not use cellular-enabled devices. Cellular connection options will not be available.

  • Individual cellular devices - this option should be used for individual cellular-enabled devices, for example Smart Meter devices.

  • Cellular hub device - this option should be used for cellular hub device, for example Stel cellular hub.

*If using Validic Logistics, the program should be enabled with logistics support and device ordering for Validic fulfillment of the devices.

Validic Logistics Cellular-Enabled Device Fulfillment

  • Once participant is enrolled in the program with cellular device support, a gear icon will display next to each source type within the Clinician Dashboard for the participant.

    Click the gear icon, a field will display to allow IMEI entry. IMEI stands for “International Mobile Equipment Identity,” and it is a unique 15-digit number that identifies a mobile device.

    • Enter the device’s IMEI into the field - a barcode scanner can be used or the IMEI can be entered manually.

    • Confirm the IMEI within the field.

    • Click “Save” to attach the device to the participant. The device can now be used and will transmit readings.

    • If a mistake is made on IMEI entry, or if a device needs to be switched, the IMEI can be removed and a new one can be added. Note that the device can only be connected to a single user at a time.

HealthBridge and Cellular-Enabled Devices

The participant may optionally download the Validic HealthBridge companion mobile app (iOS/Android) to be able to view past readings, program goals, and notifications (this is not required).
