Once participant is enrolled in the program with cellular device support, a gear icon will display next to each source type within the Clinician Dashboard for the participant.
Click the gear icon, a field will display to allow IMEI entry. IMEI stands for “International Mobile Equipment Identity,” and it is a unique 15-digit number that identifies a mobile device.
Enter the device’s IMEI into the field - a barcode scanner can be used or the IMEI can be entered manually.
Confirm the IMEI within the field.
Click “Save” to attach the device to the participant. The device can now be used and will transmit readings.
If a mistake is made on IMEI entry, or if a device needs to be switched, the IMEI can be removed and a new one can be added. Note that the device can only be connected to a single user at a time.
Attach a device for each relevant measurement type within the program.
Upon program un-enrollment (in last program utilizing the device), the device is disconnected from the user, and readings will no longer flow.
*Note that even if the user is disconnected, a cellular connection will still be maintained on the device until manually removed by the client or Validic.
