Why do I get redirected without being requested to authorize my MapMyFitness or Under Armour Record account when connecting in the Validic Marketplace?

With the acquisition of the MapMy suite of apps, Under Armour has enabled data to be accessed across all of its apps, including Under Armour Record, through a single Under Armour account. Since Validic only supports the connection of one Under Armour account to a single user, once a single MapMy or UA Record app has been connected, clicking to connect a different MapMy or UA Record app will show that app as being connected to the same account Under Armour as originally authorized.

For example, when a user is connected to MapMyRun and then clicks to connect to MapMyWalk or Under Armour Record, the app will automatically show as being connected using the same authorization that was provided to connect to MapMyRun.

Since Under Armour authorizes data access to an Under Armour account, it is not necessary to connect every MapMy or Under Armour Record app you use. Once one of these app is connected, data access will be authorized for all Under Armour apps.

To disconnect an Under Armour account from a Validic user go to https://www.mapmyfitness.com/ and ensure that you are not logged in. All the MapMy apps and the Under Armour Record app must then be disconnected in the Validic App Marketplace. This will completely revoke access to the Under Armour account associated with that user. Going through this disconnection process is the only way to be prompted to log in and connect to a different Under Armour account for a Validic user that is currently connected to an Under Armour app.
