What is the difference between Fitbit validated routine data and non-validated routine data?

By default, Validic will retrieve all routine data from Fitbit regardless of whether it was manually entered or device generated. These routine records will all be marked as non-validated (validated:false). This means that fitness activities the user entered will be included in the routine totals.

It is possible, however, for Validic to provide only validated Fitbit routine data. Validated Fitbit routine data is available upon request and will be configured for your organization. Once enabled, only the device generated portion of steps, calories, distance, etc. will be provided in a user's routine record for any newly collected routine data. This means that all routine Fitbit records will be validated:true and any manually entered steps will not be included for all users in your organization.

If Fitbit validated data is turned on for your organization after users have already connected and received non-validated data, up to 30 days of their past data will be updated to reflect the validated portion of their routine aggregates.
