Impact allows you to add a new measurement type to a program after the program is live. For example, if you have a blood pressure program that is live (with the blood pressure measurement type), you can add weight to that program and the . This new measurement type can be made available to previously enrolled members and will be automatically available to newly enrolled members.

Previously Enrolled Program Members:
Once the new measurement type is added to the program, clinicians will see a banner in the clinician dashboard with a button to opt the previously enrolled member in to the new measurement type.

Once the clinician clicks the + Add [Measurement Type] button, the new measurement type will be enabled for the member, and required goals and notifications associated with new measurement type will be added to the clinician dashboard. The member will receive a "New Source is Available" email. The member can then follow a link in this email to connect a source (device) for the new measurement type. Data will then begin flowing for this new source (device).

Newly Enrolled Program Members:
After the new measurement type is added to the program in Admin, new enrollments will always have the option to connect a source for the new measurement type by defaultwill only be available to program participants enrolled after the measurement type has been added.

Recommended Implementation Steps:

  1. Work with your Validic implementation contact to to add a new data source to Impact for Impact for the new measurement type: Adding a New Data Source to Impact

  2. Update Admin > Content with needed program content changes with the new measurement type (source/device)

  3. Add content for the "New Source is Available" email in Admin > Content

  4. Enable the measurement type in Admin > Program Overview

  5. Add program goals and notifications Goals and Events/Actions (Notifications) for the new measurement type in Admin > Goals and Admin > Events/Actions (Notifications)

  6. New enrollments will now have the ability to connect a source for the new measurement type, clinicians can opt previously enrolled members into the new measurement type via a button in the banner on the clinician dashboard for the member.
